So during my time here in NYC I have made some Puerto Rican friends.

Now growing up I found it weird that there has always been an animosity between Mexico and Puerto Rico. if someone from either country reads this and gives me a good answer as to why I will greatly appreciate it ... but I've heard both sides say NASTY things about the opposite country ... but clearly Puerto Rico is tiny and Mexico is gigantic ... it's hardly worth calling it a worthy fight. Am I right?  Just sayin'

I could care less about what has been said about PR, since I'm Mexican ... and since I was here in NYC I was eager to make some PR friends ... and of course with these friendships came THE MOST EPIC recipe known to man ... and I'm excited to share it with you all!

I've been wanting to make chili forever ... I think making a great bowl of chili really solidifies you as a great cook ... it's like a right of passage so to speak. If you go online, and this is without any sarcasm, there are MILLIONS of recipes and all of them are drastically different. Some are kind of insane calling for cocoa powder and beer ... again, and I have said this before in previous recipes, less is more ... simplicity is key.

But with that said, this does have a cooking time of roughly 4-6 hours, so this isn't your Easy Chili Recipe ... so I dunno, maybe this fits somewhere in the middle ...
